Ananya Birla is the eldest child of India's 6th richest person, Kumar Mangalam Birla, the chairperson of Aditya Birla Group, and the granddaughter of Aditya Birla. She is the sister of Indian cricketer, Aryaman Birla. The 30-year-old is one of the heirs to the Birla group who has recieved her education from prestigious Oxford University from where she recieved her economics and management degree. She turned an entrepreneur after she founded Svatantrata Microfin, which is second-largest microfinance institution in India, to lend loan to rural women to empower them at the age of just 17. She is also the founder of Ikai Asai and the co-founder of Mpower. In 2024, Ananya was honored by listed in 40 under 40 by Fortune India for her achievement in micro-finance sector.
