Left With No Other Option: Why Does Alia Bhatt Want To Take Legal Route Against Paps For Clicking Raha’s Pics?
Alia Bhatt Birthday With Paps: Alia Bhatt celebrated her birthday with paparazzi on March 13 alongside husband Ranbir Kapoor ahead of her actual birthday on March 15, 2025. Although initially it seemed fun and interactive session of Alia with the paps after her birthday celebration when she cut the birthday cake in a joyful manner, later the reason for holding the discussion came out when she and Ranbir talked about a lot of things including their will to go to the extent for the safety of their daughter, Raha.
Why Does Alia Bhatt Want To Take Legal Route Against Paps For Clicking Raha's Pictures?
Well, while Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor themselves introduced Raha to the paps and allowed themselves to click their daughter, recent security breach incident at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's house had raised the eyebrows of many celebs including the Kapoors, especially when the news broke out that the attacker initially targeted Jeh. Even in the discussion, Alia Bhatt said, "My worst nightmare is someone breaking in and taking Raha away."
Alia, who has already deleted the pictures of Raha from her Instagram account, has urged paps not to click unauthorized pictures of her daughter citing Child Privacy Law and Data Protection Law. She further urged media personnels not to use or click on Raha's picture without their consent.
On the other hand, Ranbir assured the paps that they don't want to take any legal route but are asking for the cooperation of the paps. He said, "It might sound like a privileged problem. But as parents, we are trying to protect our child as much as we can. With a smart phone in hand, anyone can do anything in today's time. But you (the paparazzi) are like our family. We can request you and you can help us to achieve this," saying how once Alia was clicked at their home by an individual breaching their privacy, "We understand there's curiosity, but there's a line you cannot cross."
However, Alia Bhatt subtly warned, "We don't want to push any action against anyone. But if somebody is not listening to us repeatedly, we are left with no other option."
When they are asked what the paps will do when they are at the airport, "Let the child move first and then you can take pictures of us. If you get a picture of Raha some way, please hide it under an emoji before sharing on social media."
Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt got married in April, 2022 and welcomed daughter Raha in November in the same year. The duo introduced their daughter to the paps at the Kapoor Christmas lunch in 2023.
In the same interaction, Alia also opened up about her parenting style to her 2-years-old and revealed how she has been trying to teach Raha different emotions by reading a book to her, "I read a book called The Book of Emotions to Raha. It simply explains to kids what emotions are. When I read that book to her, it is actually like I am reading to myself. Sometimes, it is important to remind yourself about the different sorts of highs and lows a human can experience and how it is normal to feel that way."
On the work front, Alia is gearing up for Love & War with husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. This will mark both Alia and Ranbir's second collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Gangubai Kathiawadi & Saawariya respectively. This will also mark Alia and Ranbir's second collaboraation with each other after Brahmastra, which was helmed by Ayan Mukerji.
