Why’s It Sad: Sonam Kapoor Ignores 'Friend' Jacqueline Fernandez Post Sukesh Case? Reddit Reacts To Old Clip

Sonam Kapoor Ignores Friend Jacqueline Fernandez: Sonam Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez, who were once close friends, are reportedly not that much in touch now. Amid the reports swirling, an old video of Sonam and Jacqueline from a Mumbai event went viral on Thursday, where the duo could be seen engaged in conversation. However, their conversation caught netizens' attention, and many of them claimed that Sonam was deliberately ignoring Jacqueline at the event that took place in January this year. Many assumed that Sonam's act was a response to the whole Sukesh incident.

The video, which was from an event in Mumbai in January, shows Jacqueline bumping into Sonam Kapoor, after which they hugged each other. Jacqueline asked Sonam, hinting at their earlier hangouts, "We never meet anymore." To which Sonam replied, "I am now married, I have a child, my whole life has changed."
While many tagged Sonam rude, others defended the actress' reaction, calling it normal, followed by Jacqueline's partner Sukesh's arrest.
Reddit reacted to the video, while one wrote, "Dude , She does not want to hang out with someone who has a imprisoned imposter BF and had shady dealings with him." Another one agreed, "Absolutely. Sonam hasn't stopped socialising, going out for events, meeting her friends, travelling: so why only talk about being busy and mother when it comes to talking to Jacqueline? It's becz she doesn't want to be associated with her who is under investigation for shady business." While one user disagreed saying, "Absolutely valid! But does one have to shut someone up like that when they are being courteous is debatable. One can choose to casually say "oh yes. We should meet" and move on like most of us do. I personally find it triggering when someone snubs a person like this."
Another Reddit user commented, "Why's it sad. Not many people wanna be associated with people who were close to convicted felons. Each of them have their own brand and reputation to protect. As much as as I can't stand this specimen of Anil Kapoor I think she's justified in her position." One user also pointed out, "What's wrong.. no one wants to be associate with someone who is having trouble legally unless you're powerful enough!"
Sonam Kapoor got married to Anand Ahuja in 2018 and welcomed a baby boy, named Vayu, in 2022. Recently, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Sonam spoke about motherhood and how it changed her life, "It (motherhood) completely changes you. It changes you emotionally, physically and mentally. I mean, it's like you're not even the same person anymore. You're a better person. You're bigger like everything has expanded and just everything has become better." She went on to add, "If you have a child, your child is always your first priority".
In another interview with Harper's Bazaar India, Sonam asked about the greatest lesson in her life, to which she replied, "Through my work and now that I am a mother, I have learned that it is imperative to be present in the moment. It's so easy to get caught up in distractions and lose sight of what really matters in the world. But being truly present in the moment is a gift we can give ourselves and those we love. When I am on set and fully present, it allows me to connect deeply with my character and bring it to life in the most authentic manner. I believe in immersing myself in the imaginary world of the character, feel her emotions, and empathise with her experiences. And this is the same principle I apply when it comes to being a mother, too. I have discovered that the most precious gift I can offer my son is my undivided attention. In a world filled with screens and constant stimulation from the Internet, simply being there for him and cherishing the moments we share helps me create an irreplaceable bond with Vayu."
