EXCL! Mangal Lakshmi's Urvashi Upadhyay On Why She Doesn't Believe In Women's Day Concept, 'Our Culture Has..'

On the occasion of Women's Day, actress Urvashi Upadhyay shared her heartfelt thoughts, emphasizing that celebrating women should not be limited to just one day.
"I don't believe in the concept of Women's Day," Urvashi expressed. "Our culture has always valued women equally. Whether it's Radha-Krishna, Parvati-Shiv, or Sita-Ram - women have always held a significant place. Situations may change, but the truth remains that women are an irreplaceable part of our lives."
Urvashi highlighted how deeply women impact day-to-day life. "If a mother, sister, or any female member steps away from the house for just 2-4 days, everything feels chaotic. Even if I return home late, my children immediately ask why I'm delayed. That's the presence women hold - something that can't go unnoticed even for a few minutes," she added.
Instead of posting on social media for Women's Day, Urvashi encourages women to focus on self-care and personal growth. "If you truly want to celebrate Women's Day, invest in yourself. Explore hobbies, develop skills, or engage in creative activities. Enjoy your own company," she advised.
Drawing inspiration from real-life examples, Urvashi praised women who manage their families beautifully despite financial challenges. She also admired entrepreneurial women who, despite being part of joint families, turn small ideas into successful businesses.
"Women are not weak; we are warriors. Life is not just about cooking, marriage, and raising children - it's about adding excitement and purpose to each day," Urvashi concluded.
Her empowering message serves as a reminder that women's contributions deserve recognition every day, not just on Women's Day.
