Women's Day 2025 EXCL! The Diplomat Actress Sadia Khateeb Reveals Who's Her Source Of Inspiration

Women's Day 2025: She wooed the audience with her power-packed performance in Shikara and later, left everyone teary-eyed when she donned the role of Gayatri in Raksha Bandhan. She is a woman of substance, who is passionate about her work. There's no prize for guessing that we are talking about Sadia Khateeb.
Ahead of her new film's release, Sadia interacted with Filmibeat and shared her source of inspiration, penning a special message for the women.
Here are excerpts from the interview.
How the women around you have inspired you? Considering you are in the field of art and cinema, you have also inspired women with your work. Who motivated you when it came to the big screen?
The women around me have inspired me in many phases of my life, from my mother to my sister, my friends, and my cousins, each one of them has influenced me in different ways. If I specifically talk about my mother, I have learned from her that no matter how life gets, you must always remain happy and cheerful. My sister inspires me to never stress, no matter what. My cousins inspire me with the passion they bring to their work.
My life is a constant phenomenon of inspiration drawn from the people around me, both men and women. However, the way women inspire me is truly nurturing and beautiful. It is also the women I see on screen and those who are part of my field, watching them motivates me to work harder, be more passionate, and give my absolute best. I truly hope to see more and more women in the field of art and cinema because, in my belief, creativity is often more deeply drawn from women than men.
How easy and difficult was it for you to navigate things? What is the message you like to give on this Women's Day 2025?
It's the support of the men and women around me, especially my mother, father, sister and brother continuously supporting me that makes me navigate my choices.
The message that I want to give all the women around the globe on this Women's Day has to be just one, please just know your rights, your legal rights, your religious right and never compromise on them. Once you understand how our laws and how our religion empowers us (the factual aspects, not the cultural one), you will never feel weak. Know your rights, never feel weak, and have the courage to face whatever situation arises. No matter what, never give up.
What a thoughtful vision Sadia!
Sadia is gearing up for the release of The Diplomat, which will hit the silver screens on March 14, 2025.
