Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist, who had confirmed his relationship with Gauri Spratt on his 60th birthday last year, is said to be tying the knot soon. And while the reports got everyone brimming with an opinion, the 61 year old actor has now put an end to the speculations and confirmed that he is all set to marry Gauri Spratt next month.

In an interview with Variety India, Aamir Khan confirmed that he will be marrying Gauri on July 5. He also emphasised that while he is already married to her in his heart, formalising things feels like a natural progression. "Now we both feel we are ready to take our relationship to the next level. I am at peace. Gauri and I are serious about each other and we are in a very committed space. We are partners, we are together. In my heart, I'm already married to her. So, to formalise our togetherness just seems like a natural progression of our partnership," he added.

While the news has managed to grab a lot of eyeballs, it is reported that the couple will be tying the knot in Mumbai in a private ceremony. According to a report in Filmfare, Aamir and Gauri will be having a registered marriage at home in the presence of their respective families and close friends. "I'm currently travelling in the US. The news about the marriage is true. It's on July 5," Aamir was quoted as saying.

Earlier, talking about his relationship with Gauri, Aamir had told Navbharat Times, "I am very fortunate that I met Gauri, and our relationship started together. She is great, I feel at peace with her. Although my relationship with (ex-wives) Kiran Rao and Reena Dutta was also very deep, but things didn't work out. When you asked, I felt that I am very blessed that Gauri entered my life. We are very happy together. Mujhe lagta hai ab jaake mai mukammal hua hoon (I feel like I am finally complete now)".
