Actress Anushka Kaushik And Abhijeet Nalawade Come Together For A New Film
Renowned actress Anushka Kaushik and actor Abhijeet Nalawade come together for a new retro-themed one-night drama thriller, built around strong performances and a nostalgic song woven seamlessly into the narrative.

For Abhijeet Nalawade, acting is not only about showing emotion. It is about re-telling reality in his own way. His craft has deepened through life experiences and has been shaped by theatre, helping him bring truth, control, and simplicity to his performances.
Abhijeet's journey began in Karjat at the high-school level, where his early interest in acting earned him a state-level Best Actor award. His passion continued into college, where his portrayal of Romeo in a spoof of Romeo and Juliet at Ruia College, Matunga, received strong appreciation at an intercollegiate competition.
He later trained and performed for two years at Swatantra Theatre, Pune, where he received critical appreciation for his stage performance, especially for playing Vishwasrao in Vijay Tendulkar's Ashi Pakhare Yeti. Over the last five years, he has also been actively involved with Adishakti Theatre and Laboratory for Theatre Arts Research, Pondicherry, including serving as a member of its Steering Committee.
His understanding of acting deepened further during his SOPE workshop and masterclasses at Adishakti Theatre and Laboratory for Theatre Arts Research, Pondicherry. There, he learned how breath creates emotion, how training opens the body to serve a character and the rhythm of the story, and how small details like the eyes, eyebrows, and eyelids can communicate meaning without words.
On screen, Abhijeet has consistently chosen roles that rely on truth rather than loud expression. He played the second lead in the Marathi web series Purush, alongside Sachin Khedekar and Mrunmayee Deshpande. In this new film, he portrays a character driven by inner conflict, where much of the emotion lives beneath the dialogue.
Directed by Srija Barua Nalawade, Founder of Lasaki Media Works, the film blends a retro mood with present-day emotion. At its heart, it is a character-led story that trusts performance, music, and silence to move the narrative forward.
With this new collaboration, Abhijeet Nalawade continues to grow as an actor who believes in honest storytelling, keeping his work human, engaging, and rooted in emotional truth.
