Akshay Kumar then described the personal pain behind this appeal, speaking about the death of Akshay Kumar’s father from prostate cancer at 67. Opening up, Akshay Kumar said, "I lost the most important person in my life - my father. Whenever I talk about him, I say that I lost him. He was everything to me."
Akshay Kumar explained that the family had not understood the role of early screening, and highlighted the PSA, or Prostate-Specific Antigen test. Akshay Kumar said, "Why did I lose him? Because I didn't know that after the age of 50 or 55, you have to get your PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen test) checked," linking this gap to the loss.
