Amid Rajpal Yadav’s Arrest, Shivangi Verma Reveals Getting REPLACED In Film With Him: I Was Never Told (EXCL)

Filmibeat Exclusive: Actor Rajpal Yadav is now behind bars at Tihar Jail, having surrendered on February 5 after failing to repay loans worth Rs 9 crore. His attempt to get a last-minute extension from the Delhi High Court was denied. The court noted that Yadav had repeatedly failed to meet previous undertakings in this decade-old cheque bounce case, leaving no option but to enforce the sentence.

Amid all this, in an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, actress Shivangi Verma made a surprising revelation about a film with Rajpal Yadav. When asked if she had ever met Rajpal Yadav, she said that they had met professionally for work. She revealed that she had signed a film in which she was the leading actress and Rajpal Yadav was cast as her opposite lead actor.

The most surprising part is that Shivangi was silently removed from the project. Yes, you read that right! Revealing the same, she stated, "Ek film thi jo maine sign ki thi. He was the hero, and I was the heroine. This was in 2019. It was a comedy film, of course, Rajpal sir the toh. Sab kuch ho gaya tha, contract sign ho gaya tha. Narration meetings ho gayi thi, hamari professional conversation ho chuki thi, tickets ho chuki thi kyunki Mumbai mei shooting nahi thi, bahar thi. But, unfortunately, I think things didn't work, and that project got scrapped. Toh bs itna hi memory hai mera Rajpal sir ke saath. Isse zyada toh mai bhi nahi bata paungi kyunki mujhe bhi nahi pata ki kyun hua aisa aur kya hua aisa. But abhi jab maine unki news suni toh wo sab cheezein mere mind mei wapas aa gayi kyunki mai ye sab bhool chuki thi. This was long ago."

WAS SHIVANGI VERMA REPLACED FROM THE FILM WITH RAJPAL YADAV?

When she was asked whether the film never happened or if she got replaced, Shivangi added, "Honestly, mere hisaab se toh hui hi nahi. But, jo meri movie ki story thi, 60% change karke, waisi similar Rajpal sir ne, ek aur actress ke saath ki hai. So, I was assuming that I was replaced; I was never told. It had the same story, same background. I'm assuming I was replaced, but apne dil ko manane ke liye mai yahi kehna chahti hun ki wo project scrap ho gaya."

On being asked about the actress who replaced her, Shivangi said, "She was a newcomer. So, I really don't remember her name."
