Zanai posted on Instagram to address speculation about Asha Bhosle's health and confirmed the hospitalisation. The note read: "My grandmother, Asha Bhosle due to extreme exhaustion and suffering a chest infection, has been admitted to the hospital and we request you to value our privacy. Treatment is ongoing and hopefully everything will be well and we shall update you positively," she wrote.
Earlier, some sources had told PTI that Asha Bhosle suffered a cardiac arrest and was also dealing with pulmonary issues. Her family members didn't confirm the news.
The family's social media message focused on Asha Bhosle's chest infection and exhaustion, and urged people to respect boundaries while treatment continues.

Asha Bhosle Funeral Date
Asha's son Anand Bhosle confirmed that the family will conduct her funeral on April 13. Fans can pay their last respect to the singer. "My mother passed away today. People can pay their last respects to her at 11 am tomorrow at Casa Grande, Lower Parel, where she lived. Her last rites will be performed at 4 pm tomorrow at Shivaji Park," Anand was quoted as saying by ANI.
