Bandar X Review

In Bandar, Bobby Deol plays Sameer Mehra, a man facing serious charges that disrupt a settled life. Sameer is accused of sexual assault by former girlfriend Gaytri, portrayed by Sapna Pabbi. The allegation drives the narrative and places the character under constant suspicion and public pressure. The film uses this accusation as the central conflict, adding layers of mystery and tension typical of a crime thriller. Sameer's relationship history, professional world and shifting public image all come into play, promising a story that leans on investigation, doubt and moral questions. Bandar marks Bobby Deol's first on-screen pairing with Saba Azad, who plays the character's current love interest. It is also the first time Bobby Deol works with Anurag Kashyap, a collaboration that has raised curiosity among viewers who follow both names closely. As the movie has hit the screens, here's what the audience has to say about it.

Bandar Twitter Review

Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, a user wrote, "If you love cinema, do yourself a favour and watch #Bandar. What a fantabulous movie raising pertinent issues regarding biased laws in society. Anurag Kashyap, what a genius filmmaker you are. Bobby Deol, mad respect for you". On the other hand, another user called Bandar exceptional and gave it 4.5 stars. He tweeted, "Just watched #Bandar.... and I genuinely believe this is one of the most NECESSARY films of our time (From Hindi Cinema). The film addresses a subject that society can no longer afford to ignore. From the very first frame to the last.. the film is incredibly engaging.. Yes it is. It constantly pushes the audience to think about how laws designed to protect can sometimes be misused. At the same time, the film is careful not to reduce the issue to a one-sided argument".

Meanwhile, talking about Bandar, Bobby Deol, as per a report shared by Wion, stated, "I didn't increase my fee for this film. When a project truly excites me as an actor, money isn't the first thing I think about. What drew me in was the opportunity to play such a real, grounded character. We are often conditioned to portray larger-than-life roles, but being completely normal on screen is actually far more challenging. Anurag wasn't looking for theatrics or embellishment-he wanted honesty and authenticity. Working with him felt like being part of an acting workshop. Every single day on set, I learnt something new".
