Speaking about the kind of development she hopes to see in Mumbai, Hema Malini stressed the need for better road conditions and safety. In the video, shared by ANI on Twitter (X), she says, "Achi hawa chahiye, gadha mukt road chahiye, suraksha chahiye, pragati chahiye. To aap sabko sath dena padega, sarkaar ka sath denge tabhi ye sab hoga" - translating to clean air, pothole-free roads, improved security, and overall progress.
The BJP MP also urged citizens to step out in large numbers and participate in the democratic process.
