Border 2 Music Composer Mithoon Reveals Why The Film’s Soundtrack Is Close To His Heart: I Am Truly Grateful

Border 2 Update: Renowned music composer Mithoon has spoken about why working on Border 2 holds deep emotional value for him, calling the film and its music a tribute to the spirit of Indian soldiers. The composer shared his thoughts at the Amazon Music event Celebrate The Music Of Border 2 with Naval Officers, making the moment even more special.

Recalling how the project came to him, Mithoon said, "When Bhushan Kumar first called me and spoke about producing music for Border 2, I was extremely excited." He explained that as a filmmaker and composer, he is always drawn to stories that leave a lasting impact. "As filmmakers, we are always searching for stories that truly leave an impact," he added.

While working on the film, Mithoon said he realised the emotional depth of Border 2 went beyond cinema. "During this journey, I realised that there is no story greater than that of a soldier," he said, describing the experience as deeply moving. According to the composer, the film's soul lies in its portrayal of courage, sacrifice, and human emotion, which naturally shaped his approach to the music.

Speaking about his collaboration with producer Bhushan Kumar, Mithoon highlighted their shared creative belief. "Bhushan ji and I both strongly believe in the emotional power of music. He understands the importance of emotion in every composition," he said. Mithoon added that this common understanding played a key role in creating music that stays true to the heart of Border 2. "That shared belief is reflected in the work we created together," he noted.

The composer also expressed gratitude while celebrating the film's music at the Amazon Music event. "I am truly grateful that we are here today celebrating this music," Mithoon said, calling it a proud moment for the entire team. He further thanked Nidhi Dutta for giving him the responsibility of continuing the legacy of the iconic franchise. "I am also thankful to Nidhi Dutta for trusting me to carry forward the legacy of Border," he shared.
