Bhumi Pednekar Has Advice For Youngsters Wishing To Take BREAK From Burnout: You Don't Owe An Explanation...
Bhumi Pednekar says young people feeling worn out should not fear pausing their careers or studies. The actor believes stepping away is valid when life feels blocked, either at work or at home. Bhumi stresses that this pause can help people reconnect with themselves and return stronger, without guilt or shame.

Bhumi recently chose such a break after more than ten years of continuous films and shoots. Bhumi last appeared in the Prime Video web series Daldal and then decided to slow down. During this period, Bhumi has been spending more time with family and friends, focusing on recovery from burnout.

Bhumi shared her thoughts on taking a pause while appearing on The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra, Season 3. The show is produced by Gautam Thakker Films. During the conversation, Bhumi explained how social pressure often shapes choices. Bhumi encouraged young people to place their own dreams and needs above outside expectations when they feel drained.
Speaking about long term goals, Bhumi said, " The world has set a lot of norms and standards for us to live up to, that we haven't set up for ourselves. So my advice is, when you know what your personal goals are, what your ambition is & you have a larger vision for your life, even if you don't have set goals but know what the next decade of your life is going to look like & you need more skills, more time or you just want to do nothing, it's okay to take a break."

Bhumi also spoke about cutting out pressure from others and trusting personal judgement. Bhumi said, "This can only happen when you cut out the external noise from your life, as you don't owe anybody else an explanation, but only to yourself. You should not be in a position where ten years later you regret not taking a decision. I took a break because I wanted to be better at my work, and I wanted personal growth as a human being; people can have different reasons, whether professional or personal. So always listen to your instinct because your instinct is way smarter than whatever your brain wants to tell you."
While reflecting on this pause, Bhumi has also lined up her next screen outing. Bhumi is set to act in an unnamed romantic film with Imran Khan and Gurfateh Pirzada. The project is directed by Danish Aslam, who earlier directed Break Ke Baad. Bhumi’s recent choices highlight a clear effort to balance future work with personal well-being.
