Chetna Pande Reacts To Being Called A Lucky Charm Post Haunted 3D Echoes Of The Past: I Don't Think I've...
After Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past struck a chord with audiences, social media had a new label for Chetna Pande: lucky charm, and for some, even the new face of horror. But if you ask the actress, she's accepting the love with gratitude and keeping her feet very firmly on the ground. Opening up about the audience response to the film, Chetna said she feels genuinely touched that people are associating her with the genre, but she isn't ready to crown herself just yet.

"Honestly, I feel very grateful when I hear that. As actors, we spend years hoping audiences will connect with our work. When people start associating you with a genre, it means they have embraced your performance, and that's a beautiful feeling."
She was quick to add that horror is a space built by people who have devoted years to it, and she sees herself as someone who is still learning the ropes. She said, "Having said that, I don't think I've earned the right to call myself the face of horror yet. That title belongs to people who have spent decades building this genre. I am still learning, still evolving and still proving myself."
As for being called a lucky charm, Chetna is taking it in the sweetest way possible, as love from the audience, not as a solo victory lap. "If audiences are calling me a lucky charm, I take it as their love and blessing. But I genuinely believe success is never about one person," she said.
She's also quick to credit the people behind Haunted 3D for making the film work, especially Vikram Bhatt, Anand Pandit, and the team that stayed committed to the project. She said, "Haunted 3D worked because Vikram sir believed in the story, Anand sir stood firmly behind the film through every challenge, and an entire team worked relentlessly to bring it to audiences."
But perhaps what makes her happiest isn't the tag or the praise; it's the fact that people are talking about Sunheri and connecting with her emotional arc. She said, "What makes me happiest is that people are talking about Sunheri. They're connecting with her journey, her pain, her courage, and her resilience. For an actor, that's the greatest compliment."
Chetna also says horror is a genre she has developed a deep respect for because of how emotionally demanding it can be. "Horror is a genre that allows you to explore emotions at their most extreme. It demands complete emotional surrender, and that's what makes it exciting," she said.
So would she like to do more horror films from here? Absolutely. But she's careful not to let one successful role box her in.
"If this film has opened doors for me in the horror space, I would love to explore more stories in the genre. But more than being known as the face of horror, I want to be known as an actor who isn't afraid to take risks and challenge herself," she said.
"And if Haunted 3D has made me even a small part of Vikram Bhatt sir's incredible horror legacy, I consider that a huge honor," Chetna ended.
