Interestingly, the film was earlier expected to face a box office clash with Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash. However, after the other film's release got postponed to June, Dhurandhar 2 now enjoys a solo release.
Talking about the story, the sequel explores a tense world of espionage and secret missions. The plot revolves around an Indian undercover agent who travels to Pakistan for a high-risk operation. As he navigates the complex environment of Karachi, he faces constant danger, unexpected twists, and powerful enemies at every step.
The film picks up after the major events of the first part, where Hamza killed Rehmat Dakait. In this chapter, he is now known by his real name, Jaskirat Singh Rangi, and finds himself involved in an even more dangerous mission. With greater risk and intense challenges, the sequel promises a thrilling, action-packed experience for the audience.
According to reports, Dhurandhar 2 has been made on a budget of around Rs 300 crore, including both parts.

In order to understand the box office potential of Dhurandhar 2, Filmibeat recently spoke to trade analyst Rohit Jaiswal, who shared his views on the film's expected performance in theatres. Talking about its box-office target, Rohit stated, "Looking at the current buzz, advance interest, and the scale of the sequel, the film is targeting somewhere around Rs 1300 crore nett in India. At this moment, this number is very much achievable."
