For Suparn S Varma, Yami Gautam's cameo in Dhurandhar 2 turned out to be more than just a surprise appearance. Sharing the story behind it, Suparn said, Aditya had seen the cut of *Haq*, and after watching it, he told me there was a surprise he had just shot. I asked him what it was, and he said it's in the last scene of *Dhurandhar*. I asked again, "What is it?" and he said, "Yami's character." I asked, "What is Yami's character?" and he said, "Guess what-it's a nameplate." I started laughing because I thought we were tipping our hats to it, and I even joked, "Is she playing back Mama dressed as a nurse?" He was laughing his head off and said, "She's called Shazia Bano."

He further added, That's when I felt we really have a mutual admiration society we genuinely love each other's work. And yes, it was something very sweet and admirable that he did, I guess, for Yami's dedication and passion while playing Shazia Bano in Haq.
