According to India Today, Chandigarh Police booked Johray under Sections 74, 79, 123 and 126(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. She further alleged that an intoxicating substance had been mixed into her drink, causing her condition to deteriorate."

Investigators identified Johray as a resident of Oberoi Springs in Andheri West, Mumbai. Police sources confirmed that statements are being collected from the complainant and potential witnesses. Complainant’s background and sexual harassment complaint timeline

The complaint explains that the woman was a student at a government college when the link to Dhurandhar emerged. A faculty member shared her resume with the film’s team, after which she joined as an assistant art director on 2 September 2025. On set, Johray introduced himself as a mentor, built professional contact and gained the woman’s confidence over time.

The woman alleged that Johray later invited her to a room at the Taj Hotel in Sector 17, saying the meeting was for a work-related discussion. When she arrived, the complainant said no other crew member was present. She stated that Johray told her not to tell anyone about the hotel meeting, arguing that disclosure could damage his reputation in the industry.

Alleged hotel incident and sexual harassment complaint narrative

In her statement, the woman claimed that at around 8.30 pm on 10 September 2025, Johray insisted she drink alcohol. She alleged he mixed wine and rum into one drink, pressed her to consume it and pulled her close while making unwanted advances. She said her health then deteriorated, and she began vomiting in the bathroom.

According to the complaint, Johray allegedly followed her into the bathroom and continued touching her inappropriately. The woman further claimed that he then pushed her onto the bed and pressured her to remain in the room overnight. She left the Taj Hotel the next day using a bike taxi, as mentioned in the police report describing her version of events.

The complainant also told police that she faced continued pressure after the incident. The report said, "The woman has also accused Johray of continuing to harass her afterwards by filing complaints against her, which she claimed caused further mental distress," added the report. She has alleged that these actions affected her mental health following the hotel episode.
