Dia Mirza Opens Up On Her Four Upcoming Projects & Line-Up: I Am Excited For...

As Dia Mirza marks 25 years in the Indian film industry, 2026 is shaping up to be one of her most expansive and meaningful years yet. With four projects lined up for release , multiple productions underway, and her debut as a children's book author, the actor-producer continues to balance creativity with conscious intent.

Dia Mirza Talks About Her Four Upcoming Projects

On the acting front, Dia will be seen in Ikka, alongside Sunny Deol, Akshaye Khanna, and Tillotama Shome. She also has two web series in the pipeline one with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and another with Jimmy Shergill and an untitled feature film with Rahul Bhat, adding to a diverse slate that spans genres and platforms.

Beyond acting, Dia remains deeply invested in storytelling through her banner One India Stories. She has already produced two short films, Panha and Aasmani, with two feature films currently under production, and is actively developing new scripts for the coming year. Adding another dimension to her creative journey, Dia is also set to make her debut as an author, with children's books she has written soon to reach young readers.

Despite the packed schedule, Dia speaks candidly about her attempt to slow down and find balance. She says,

"Professionally, it's a year I'm truly looking forward to I have four incredible stories that I've already shot, all lined up for release, along with films we've produced at One India Stories and scripts we're preparing to take forward in the coming year. I'm also excited to see my children's books reach young readers. However, I also want to simplify more- my schedule, and the constant pressure we place on ourselves. I'm keen to continue learning, especially around storytelling for impact, sustainability, and emotional well-being. I also want to return to quieter, nourishing practices - reading more, spending more time in nature, and reconnecting with creative disciplines that bring calm and clarity."

Equally central to Dia's life is motherhood. She emphasizes the importance of being present for her four-year-old son, Avyaan, and her hopes for the future extend beyond cinema. She adds,

"Personally, I want to remain present and grounded, especially as a mother. In 2026, I wish for our children to grow up in a country where their health is a priority - cleaner air, water, healthier soil and food. A country where our children feel safe, heard, and hopeful."

Over the last 25 years, Dia Mirza's journey has unfolded not just in Hindi cinema, but also in sustained, impactful work for the environment. A UN Goodwill Ambassador, she has been actively involved in climate action, sustainability advocacy, and environmental awareness working consistently to address issues related to climate change, conservation, and public health.

As she enters this milestone year, Dia Mirza stands at the intersection of art, activism, and authorship continuing to tell stories that matter, on screen and beyond.
