Did Kangana Ranaut ‘Assault’ Vir Das During Revolver Rani Kiss Scene? She Reacts To Viral Claim: Some Weirdo…
Kangana Ranaut-Vir Das Controversy: An old rumour involving Kangana Ranaut and Vir Das has resurfaced on social media, but the actor-comedian has now firmly dismissed the claim, calling it completely false. The speculation, linked to their 2014 film Revolver Rani, gained attention again after a journalist repeated the story during a recent podcast.

According to the claim, Kangana Ranaut allegedly continued kissing Vir Das even after a scene had ended, leaving him with an injured lip. As the story began circulating online once again, Vir Das took to X to clear the air and defend his former co-star.
VIR DAS BREAKS SILENCE ON CLAIMS OF KANGANA RANAUT ASSAULTING HIM
Calling the rumour "pure fiction," Vir Das wrote that Kangana had been "a complete professional" during the making of Revolver Rani. He also praised her as "a truly gifted artist" and said it was unfair to spread such allegations against her. Referring to their later public disagreement, Vir added that although Kangana had called him a "terrorist" over his comedy a few years after the film, there had never been any problems between them while shooting.
He tweeted, "Just so we are clear. This story is pure fiction. Kangana was a complete professional and I still maintain, a truly gifted artist. This is unfair slander to her. She went on to call me a terrorist a few years later for my comedy 😊 but on set...no problems at all."
Take a look at his tweet below:
Kangana was quick to respond to Vir's statement. Thanking him for speaking up, she questioned the source of the rumour and mocked the claims. In her reply on X, the actress wrote, "Thanks Vir but who is she? Ewww seems like some weirdo using us to satisfy her demonic sex fantasies. I am eating your blood and you are traumatised and crying even today after a decade. How random."
Interestingly, this is not the first time the rumour has surfaced. In 2023, Kangana had reacted to a similar claim through an Instagram post, sarcastically joking that she was now being accused of "assaulting poor Vir Das" after previously making headlines for her public dispute with Hrithik Roshan. Vir Das had also questioned at the time why the same story kept returning despite being untrue.
WHEN KANGANA RANAUT TARGETED VIR DAS ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Although Vir Das defended Kangana in the latest controversy, the two have publicly disagreed in the past. Their most notable clash came in 2021 after Vir's comedy special I Come From Two Indias, performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, sparked widespread debate. The performance, which commented on issues such as women's safety, the farmers' protest and the COVID-19 pandemic, drew criticism from several quarters.
Kangana had strongly criticised the comedian then, describing the performance as "soft terrorism" and calling him a "criminal" on social media. Police complaints were also filed against Vir Das in Mumbai and Delhi following the controversy. The comedian, however, maintained that his act was satire highlighting both the strengths and shortcomings of the country rather than an attack on India.
