Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, the film is also tapping into a strong sense of nostalgia, especially for audiences who grew up watching their unforgettable entertainer. The teaser offered audiences a sneak peek into the film's unique blend of horror and comedy, hinting at a fun yet eerie ride.

However, director Priyadarshan revealed that Bhooth Bangla goes beyond just scares and laughs, as it draws deeply from folklore, fantasy, and age-old tales that have existed among us for generations. He also went on to call Akshay Kumar "lucky," highlighting their successful collaborations and the strong creative synergy they share.

Priyadarshan shared, "Akshay Kumar is lucky for me, Bhooth Bangla, which is rooted in fantasy and folklore. In our country, there are deep beliefs around supernatural ghosts, rituals, and even practices like black magic that still exist in certain parts, especially in villages. At the same time, when you look at quantum science, our Vedas, and ancient philosophies, they also explore fascinating ideas like the concept of the soul traveling beyond the body in search of knowledge."

He further added, "Even culturally, we've always believed in the 'Navagraha' nine celestial influences long before modern discoveries caught up. These layers of belief, mythology, and science have always coexisted in India. That's what Bhooth Bangla is: a blend of folklore, belief systems, and imagination. It's not just a film, it's a reflection of stories that have lived among us for centuries."
