Don 3 Row | FWICE Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit Reacts To Action Against Ranveer Singh: We Can't Ban People...
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees clarifies that Ranveer Singh is not banned, despite reports after a recent press conference on the Don 3 row. FWICE chief advisor Ashoke Pandit stresses that the body has instead issued a non-cooperation directive, asking members to avoid working with the actor until the dispute ends.

Pandit explains that FWICE does not have the legal power to stop anyone from working in films. Speaking to ETimes, Pandit said, "See, first of all, the entire conversation has become wrong. It's not a ban. See, we are not the court; we can't ban people. So we have issued a non-cooperation. Non-cooperation means all our members who belong to 30 crafts, you know, they will not work with him. It's my choice whether I want to work with him or not."
FWICE non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh in Don 3 row
During the Monday press conference, FWICE announces the non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh, citing concerns that surfaced after the Don 3 row. The federation instructs members from around 30 different departments to stay away from projects involving the actor until the matter with the producers is resolved.
Pandit says the union is acting to prevent what FWICE views as a worrying pattern in the film sector. He stated, "So we, as a trade union, have issued this thing to our members that as far as wherever he is there, you will not work till the time this issue is sorted out. Because we very strongly feel that this is a very wrong trend that will start."
FWICE warns on Ranveer Singh Don 3 row and producer losses
Pandit, who also works as a filmmaker, points to the financial risk for producers if key talent exits late. He said, "This will be a big loss, and then ultimately, everybody is not Excel Entertainment that they can afford to lose crores. They will commit suicide." FWICE argues that such last-minute decisions can destabilise film budgets.
Pandit adds that FWICE wants dialogue between Ranveer Singh and the Don 3 producers to avoid further damage. He added, "So we tried to bring in a little bit of this thing that at least we can sit together and sort this out, and hopefully it will. I'm sure... we are still hopeful that it will happen. But the point is, for that, we have to meet."
FWICE efforts with Ranveer Singh over Don 3 row communications
According to Pandit, Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani approach FWICE after raising complaints involving Ranveer Singh and Don 3. Following their concerns, the federation invites the actor three times to share his side and discuss the issue, but FWICE reports that there is no response to these initial calls.
Pandit says contact only comes once FWICE schedules the press conference on the Ranveer Singh and Don 3 row. At that stage, the body receives an email from Ranveer stating that the dispute does not fall under FWICE jurisdiction. With no direct meeting yet, the non-cooperation directive remains while the federation says it still prefers a negotiated settlement.
