Eid 2026: Salman Khan With Dad Salim Greets Fans From Bullet Proof Glass After His Hospital Discharge

Salman Khan Eid video with Salim Khan: Salim Khan appeared in public for the first time after his recent health scare, joining Salman Khan for Eid greetings at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai. The veteran writer sat in a wheelchair on the balcony while fans filled the street below. Salman shared a video on Instagram with the message, "Eid Mubarak, Thank you very much for your blessings, Dad is back home thank you."

The 90-year-old screenwriter, part of the Salim-Javed duo, had been admitted to Lilavati Hospital’s ICU in Bandra on February 17. Doctors placed Salim Khan on ventilator support as a precaution. After around four weeks of treatment, Salim Khan was discharged. Many fans gathered outside the building specifically to see Salim Khan after the health scare.

Salman Khan kept up the long-running Eid ritual of greeting fans from the family balcony at Galaxy Apartments. This year, Salman Khan again stood behind bulletproof glass, installed after a previous firing incident outside the residence. Salman Khan waved, folded hands in thanks and blew kisses, while the crowd responded with cheers and mobile phones held high.

The Eid gathering turned into a full family appearance as more relatives joined Salman Khan and Salim Khan at the balcony. Arbaaz and Sohail Khan were seen alongside Sushila Charak, Alvira, and Arpita Khan Sharma. Arpita’s children also appeared, with Salman Khan interacting warmly with them during the greetings, which added a lighter touch to the brief public event.

On the professional front, Salman Khan is preparing for the release of Matrubhumi, earlier titled Battle of Galwan, co-starring Chitrangada Singh. The makers revealed the new title on March 16, 2026 on social media. A fresh poster showed Salman Khan with a wounded forehead and bloodied hands, gripping a wooden weapon, hinting at an intense role.
