Farzi 2: Shahid Shares 1st BTS Glimpse From Sets Of New Season With Vijay Sethupathi; Says 'Spexy Men At Work'

Shahid Kapoor has begun filming Raj and DK's crime thriller series Farzi 2 and has shared new behind-the-scenes photos from the set. The images show Shahid with Vijay Sethupathi and Bhuvan Arora, confirming that key cast members have returned for the second season. The makers announced Farzi 2 last month, as the first season completed three years since release. Shahid, who recently appeared in Vishal Bhardwaj's film 'O Romeo', started shooting a few days later and has since been posting regular glimpses from the new schedule.

On Sunday, Shahid posted a selfie on Instagram Stories featuring Vijay Sethupathi from the Farzi 2 set. Both are seen smiling at the camera wearing thick black frames. Shahid captioned the image, "Spexy men at work!" highlighting their light-hearted mood between takes.

Shahid also uploaded a fresh batch of BTS photos on Instagram from Farzi 2 filming. One picture shows Shahid relaxing on a chair with a car parked behind. Another frame captures Shahid, Bhuvan Arora and DK concentrating on something off-camera, while a later photo shows the director briefing Shahid and other crew members.

Farzi originally streamed on Amazon Prime Video in February 2023 and drew attention for its tense plot and performances. The series featured Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna, Bhuvan Arora and Kavya Thapar in central roles, many of whom are now expected to appear in Farzi 2.

The new season again follows Sunny, played by Shahid, and the network built around fake currency. Vijay Sethupathi returns as Michael Vedanayagam, a Special Task Force officer. The dynamic between Sunny and Michael formed a key track in the first season and remains central to the story.

Farzi follows Sunny, a small-time artist who tries to escape financial struggle by printing counterfeit currency. The plan seems to work until Michael, a determined officer, launches a tough crackdown. Their clash drives the narrative through action and cat-and-mouse sequences.

The series marked Shahid Kapoor's debut in long-format streaming content and was also the first collaboration between Shahid and creator duo Raj-DK. Fans responded strongly to the mix of crime, drama and dark humour, which encouraged the team to plan the follow-up season.

While posting the latest set photos, Shahid wrote, "Sunny days are back!! Farzi ing away!!" signalling that filming is in full swing. The new glimpses, featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Bhuvan Arora, hint that Farzi 2 will build directly on the relationships and conflicts established in the first season.
