Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos First Review: Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos is all set to hit the cinemas on January 16, 2026, bringing a fresh spy-comedy vibe backed by Aamir Khan Productions. Vir Das stars as the clumsy yet enthusiastic Happy Patel, a regular guy mistaken for a secret agent, tumbling into chaotic missions full of mix-ups and real dangers. The cast shines with Mithila Palkar as his sharp love interest, Mona Singh, Sharib Hashmi, and Srushti Tawade in key roles, plus Aamir Khan in a fun cameo. Vir Das co-directs with Kavi Shastri, blending his stand-up humor with action and romance for a quirky Delhi Belly-style laugh riot.

Imran Khan makes his big comeback after a decade away from films, last seen in 2015 release Katti Batti opposite Kangana Ranaut, sparking massive excitement among fans who missed his charm and comic timing. Trailers tease his pivotal role, fueling nostalgia and curiosity about how he fits into Happy's wild spy world. Buzz explodes online with viral teasers racking up millions of views, memes about "Kya Banaya" gags, and debates on whether this revives 2010s comedy magic. Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos First Review
As per a post shared by actor turned critic Kuldeep Gadhvi, Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos is a smart, entertaining and well crafted spy comedy that delivers laughs, thrills and heart. He gave the movie 4 stars and stated, "The movie is a 2 hour ride that never feels heavy, never feels dragged and most importantly never stops entertaining. First half is superbly paced, packed with laughs and clever setups while second half is straight up extraordinary - bigger stakes, sharper turns and satisfying payoffs. Vir Das is the soul of the film, his comic timing is razor sharp, Aamir Khan brings authority and restraint while Imran surprises pleasantly, complementing the chaos around him".
Meanwhile, talking about working with Aamir Khan on Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, debutant director Vir Das told The Print, "Aamir puts you through six kinds of re-writes where you focus on story and character. He makes you do a test shoot. So, he gives you money to go out and do 20 minutes of shooting, 5-6 scenes basically. Because he wants to see if you can direct".
