Ishq Mastana Song Choreographer Ashley Lobo Praises Vedang Raina's Approach Towards Main Vaapas Aaunga Track

Vedang Raina has tugged heartstrings with the latest track, Ishq Mastana, from his upcoming film, Main Vaapas Aaunga by Imtiaz Ali. Now, choreographer Ashley Lobo has opened up about Raina's dedicated approach towards shooting the track, expressing surprise and startle upon knowing that he shot the song while suffering from a 101-degree fever.

"I'm quite surprised to learn only now that he was unwell at the time because I genuinely had no idea. It never reflected in his work, attitude, or energy on set. In fact, I found Vedang to be incredibly quick, professional, and dedicated throughout," he shared.

"My approach to dance can be a little unconventional, but he was completely open to the process. He observed everything closely, absorbed every instruction, and consistently delivered more than what was expected of him. His ability to learn, adapt, and perform with such ease was truly impressive. It was a sheer joy to work with him," he added.

Ishq Mastana brings smooth blend of jazz, classical and Punjabi folk music, an original track that's already winning hearts, especially because of its old-style mood and the unforgettable team-up between Imtiaz Ali, AR Rahman, Mohit Chauhan and Irshad Kamil. Composed, produced and arranged by AR Rahman, the song's lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil and are sung by Mohit Chauhan, Nargis Teji and Pooja Tiwari.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Main Vaapas Aaunga brings together Naseeruddin Shah, Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari and Vedang Raina in leading roles. Set against the backdrop of partition, Main Vaapas Aaunga is a story of love and longing, and it hits theatres on June 12.
