Katrina Kaif Comeback Film: New-Mommy Katrina To Join Prabhas’ Spirit After Deepika Padukone’s Exit?

Katrina Kaif Bollywood Comeback: Fresh casting rumours surrounding Prabhas' upcoming action thriller Spirit have once again grabbed attention. After weeks of headlines around Deepika Padukone's reported exit from the project, a new report has now linked Katrina Kaif to the much-awaited film. While there is no official word yet, the latest buzz has sparked excitement among fans eager to see the actress back on the big screen.

New-Mommy Katrina Kaif To Join Prabhas Spirit

IS KATRINA KAIF IN TALKS FOR PRABHAS STARRER SPIRIT?

According to a report by Deccan Herald, Katrina Kaif is being considered for a key cameo in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit. Although the role is reportedly brief, it is expected to have an important connection to the film's story. If the discussions turn into a confirmed casting, Katrina's appearance could become one of the biggest surprises of the film.

However, it is important to note that neither the filmmakers nor Katrina Kaif have confirmed the development. At present, the report remains purely speculative.
If the casting does happen, it will mark Katrina's return to Telugu cinema after nearly two decades. The actress was last seen in Telugu films such as Malliswari, opposite Venkatesh, and Allari Pidugu, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna.

The development has attracted even more attention because Katrina has largely stayed away from signing new films in recent years. Since marrying Vicky Kaushal, she has been selective about her projects, and her recent releases failed to make a strong impact at the box office. The actress has also not announced any major film after embracing motherhood, making the latest speculation even more significant for her fans.

WHY DEEPIKA PADUKONE EXITED SANDEEP REDDY VANGA'S SPIRIT?

The new report comes shortly after Deepika Padukone was reportedly no longer associated with Spirit. She was initially expected to reunite with Prabhas after Kalki 2898 AD, but later reports claimed she had exited the project.

While the makers never addressed the reason publicly, several reports claimed Deepika had allegedly sought a remuneration of around Rs 25 crore, along with a 10 per cent share of the film's profits. The report further alleged that she requested an eight-hour work schedule, preferred travelling with a large entourage, and was not keen on dubbing her Telugu dialogues, leading to reports of differences with the production team.

Following those reports, Triptii Dimri was announced as the female lead opposite Prabhas. Now, with Katrina Kaif's name entering the conversation, Spirit continues to remain one of the most talked-about upcoming Indian films. Until an official announcement is made, fans will have to wait and see whether the reported casting turns into reality.
