Several media reports and Reddit threads recently claimed that tensions had brewed between Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranbir Kapoor after the filmmaker allegedly requested reshoots of certain scenes, leading to production delays. The reports further suggested that the setback left Ranbir frustrated, as he was eager to move on to his next project.

However, the latest reports state otherwise. According to Mid-day, an insider claimed that everything is fine between the filmmaker and the actor. The source further added that Ranbir, Vicky and Alia have always been aware of the demanding shooting process and are completely committed to the movie. "None of them have an issue with the long schedule", the insider stated, adding, "there's been no fallout".

As the report further suggests, the unit is currently on a "scheduled year-end break," which was locked months ago. "Bhansali films are mounted on a massive scale, so any pause is immediately seen as a delay," the report added.

The cast members are reportedly set to reunite soon after their New Year break and the next schedule will focus on "patchwork and VFX because it is a period film, select scenes, and musical portions."

As reported by News18, Bhansali is planning to wrap up Love And War shoot by March 2026, while toying with the idea of releasing the film in August this year. Recently, a Bollywood Hungama report claimed that the movie is expected to hit cinemas either in August or September.
