Speaking about her roots, Radhika expressed how intrinsic Marathi culture is to her identity. "Maharashtra Diwas is not just a celebration for me, it's an emotion. Marathi is not just a language I speak, it's something I feel. It shapes my thoughts, my expressions, and who I am as a person," she said.

The actress also spoke fondly about Marathi cinema, praising its authenticity and evolution over the years. "Marathi cinema has a soul of its own. The storytelling is honest, rooted, and incredibly powerful. I feel proud to be associated with an industry that values substance over noise and continues to evolve while staying true to its cultural essence. And let's not forget the father of Indian Cinema was a Maharashtrian that is Hon. Dadasaheb Phalke under the name of whom we have a beautiful vicinity which has a conglomerate of studios and we call it Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagri which is not just known to Mumbai but to the entire Nation and that makes me even more proud of the fact that I am a Maharashtrian" she added.

However, beyond the celebration of culture and art, Radhika used the moment to spotlight an issue close to her heart the well-being of crew members on set. Having closely observed their working conditions during her television projects, she emphasized the need for a more empathetic and structured approach toward their welfare.

"We often talk about the glamour of this industry, but the real strength lies behind the camera. The technicians and labourers are the ones who truly make everything possible. Their dedication is unmatched, but so are the challenges they face every day," Radhika pointed out.

She further stressed the importance of prioritizing their health and working conditions, calling for collective responsibility within the industry. "Long hours, physically demanding work, and sometimes unpredictable conditions it's not easy. Their health and safety need to be a top priority. Regular check-ups, proper rest, and safe working environments should not be optional, they should be the standard," she said.

Concluding her message on a reflective note, Radhika urged the industry and audiences alike to broaden the scope of celebration on Maharashtra Diwas. "If we truly take pride in our state and our industry, it should reflect in how we treat our people. Respect, care, and dignity for every individual on set that's the real spirit of Maharashtra for me."

Through her words, Radhika Vidyasagar not only celebrated her cultural roots but also reminded everyone that true progress lies in inclusivity, empathy, and responsibility.
