Manjari Fadnnis Seeks Justice For Pet Dog, Tearfully Recalls Shocking Incident In Video: Mikey Was Brutally...
Actor and model Manjari Fadnnis has alleged that her adopted dog Mikey was “brutally murdered”, triggering anger among animal lovers and fresh calls for stronger animal cruelty laws. In an emotional Instagram video, Manjari described a violent attack on Mikey, while police and other authorities have not yet shared any official information on suspects or recovery of the dog.

Manjari said she would continue to pursue legal action with support from animal rights and welfare activist Xavier Santiago. She thanked several members of her housing society for helping during the search and legal follow-up. In her Instagram post, Manjari wrote, “Our Mikey was Brutally Murdered… & we are going to fight for him… This should never happen with ANY Dog Ever again in any Society anywhere! People should be SCARED to hurt an animal! We NEED Stronger laws against Animal Cruelty!”

In the video, Manjari appeared in tears and said, “I wish I never needed to make this video but I think it's really important.” Manjari explained that Mikey had been abandoned by a previous family. Manjari then adopted Mikey and cared for the dog as a companion. The actor said the recent events had left the entire household shocked.
Manjari said a person who allegedly knew what happened to Mikey came forward and described the incident. According to this account, Mikey was asleep when someone hit the dog with a stick or metal rod, leaving Mikey dazed. The same person allegedly dragged Mikey towards the staircase area and continued beating the dog there.

While recalling the injuries, Manjari said through tears, “They hit him more that he was bleeding from his mouth and he pooed and he peed and he dirtied the place.” Manjari alleged that the attacker showed no concern for Mikey’s suffering. The description, Manjari added, suggested sustained violence rather than a single blow or accident.
Manjari further claimed that, after the beating, Mikey was pushed into a gunny bag while still half-alive. The bag was then allegedly taken to a nearby creek area and thrown there. Describing the family’s ongoing search, Manjari said, “We don't know whether he survived or not. We are trying to find his body.”
Actor Rishina Kandhari responded publicly to the post and expressed anguish over Mikey’s fate and over existing laws. Rishina commented, “I am so so sorry my dear Manjari, this is so so painful to hear and watching you like this is really making me feel so so helpless. I HATE INDIAN LAWS FOR DOGS… i so wish ki kuch badal paata. Thanks.” The message drew further attention to demands for stricter protection for animals.
So far, authorities have not announced any update on the identity of the accused, the recovery of Mikey, or further police action. Manjari Fadnnis and animal welfare activists continue to seek justice through legal channels and public awareness.
