Mirzapur The Movie Release Date: After three streaming seasons, Prime Video India's crime thriller universe is heading to cinemas, with Mirzapur The Movie locked for a theatrical release on 4 September. The feature-length project extends the story world of the hit series while returning several familiar characters to the big screen.

The film has already finished principal photography and is now moving into post-production. Mirzapur The Movie is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, who also directed the series, and is co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment.
Mirzapur The Movie Cast
Mirzapur The Movie brings back Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit and Shweta Tripathi as Gajgamini Gupta, also known as Golu. Rasika Dugal returns as Beena Tripathi, while Divyenndu again appears as Munna Tripathi despite the character's death in the second season.
The story in Mirzapur The Movie is set before the conclusion of the first season, which allows several characters to return. Shriya Pilgaonkar features again as Sweety Gupta. Vikrant Massey does not appear, with the role of Bablu Pandit now played by Jeetendra Kumar in the film version.

On 5 February 2026, the makers and cast revealed the first poster of Mirzapur The Movie on Instagram. The image shows a convoy of gangsters racing across a desert, with four jeeps of armed men guarding a black SUV pulling the series' iconic wooden throne.
The artwork also confirms the cinema release date for Mirzapur The Movie as 4 September. The Instagram caption reads: "Ab dekhiye bhaukaal bade parde par. Watch #MirzapurTheMovie releasing at your nearest theatres on 4th September," signalling the franchise's move from streaming screens to theatres.
Mirzapur The Movie also includes Harshita Gaur, Sushant Singh, Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Sonal Chauhan. The film follows three seasons of the Mirzapur series, released in 2018, 2020 and 2024, and arrives as the show continues, with a fourth season already confirmed.
