Sajid Nadiadwala Marks 75-Year Legacy With Gujarati Film Dhabkaaro, Unveils Logo With CM Bhupendra Patel

Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment marks 75 years with the Gujarati film Dhabkaaro, directed by Abhishek Shah. The project signals a return to regional cinema for the banner, featuring a new Gujarati logo and a promotional push including Ahmedabad events and international preview screenings.

Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment is marking 75 years in cinema with its first Gujarati film, Dhabkaaro, which releases on 1st May. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is leading the project, directed by National Award-winner Abhishek Shah. The film launch also introduces a special Gujarati logo for the banner, highlighting a new phase for the long-running production house.

The team has already started promotions with a key visit to Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Sajid Nadiadwala, director Abhishek Shah, and lead actors Deven Bhojani and Aarjav Trivedi travelled to the city. During this visit, they met the Honourable Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, and revealed a new poster for Dhabkaaro along with the specially designed 75-year Gujarati logo.

Dhabkaaro and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment extend Gujarati film legacy

Speaking about the moment, Sajid Nadiadwala said, "My roots are deeply connected to Nadiad, and that has always been a big part of who I am. In many ways, this journey feels like it has come full circle. My grandfather, A.K. Nadiadwala, began his journey in cinema with a Gujarati film, Inspector, and today, as we are in our 75th year, presenting Dhabkaaro feels like a homecoming for us. It makes this moment even more special to have Honourable Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel ji unveil our Gujarati logo along with the film's poster. I'm truly grateful for his support and for being part of this important milestone for us."

The emotional connect is rooted in family history, as A.K. Nadiadwala started with the Gujarati film Inspector. Sajid Nadiadwala now returns to the language through Dhabkaaro in this milestone year. Earlier, Sajid Nadiadwala had also engaged with regional content by writing the Marathi film Lai Bhaari, starring Riteish Deshmukh, which extended the banner’s presence beyond Hindi cinema.

Dhabkaaro, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment screenings build Gujarati film buzz

Dhabkaaro has begun attracting attention even before release through early screenings. Preview shows have already taken place in Kenya, South Africa and Mumbai, where the film drew strong appreciation. The Mumbai screening saw attendance from Aamir Khan, Shefali Shah and Ashutosh Gowariker, among others, and the response there was reported as very positive, with wide praise for the film.

Key creative and production responsibilities on Dhabkaaro sit with a mix of established names. The film is written and directed by Abhishek Shah and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Harfanmaula Films and The Moving Manch, with Dipti Jindal as associate producer. This collaboration places a recognised national filmmaker at the centre of a Gujarati language project backed by a long-standing Hindi film banner.

The commemorative Gujarati logo, the chief minister’s presence, and strong early reactions underline how the film acts as both a celebration of the banner’s history and a strategic step into Gujarati cinema.
