Raghav Chadha Joins BJP: How Wife Parineeti Chopra REACTED As He QUIT AAP? Internet Is SHOCKED

Raghav Chadha joins BJP: Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha announced on Friday (April 24) that he and six other Aam Aadmi Party members have resigned from AAP and joined the BJP. Chadha said more than two-thirds of AAP’s MPs in the Rajya Sabha have backed the switch, and claimed the group has already informed the Rajya Sabha Chairman through a signed submission. The news spread like wildfire on the internet

Chadha stated that the decision followed a long period of strain with the Aam Aadmi Party leadership. The move comes after AAP removed Chadha as deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha earlier in April, replacing Chadha with Ashok Mittal.

Why Raghav Chadha QUIT AAP And Joined BJP?

Earlier this month, the Aam Aadmi Party named Ashok Mittal as its new deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha in place of Raghav Chadha. Party leaders alleged that Chadha had not signed the notice seeking the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and had skipped Opposition protests. Chadha responded by questioning whether raising public issues should be treated as an offence by Aam Aadmi Party.

Explaining the reasons for breaking away, Chadha said in a speech as quoted as saying by The Hindu, "The AAP, which I nurtured with my blood and sweat, and gave 15 years of my youth to, has deviated from its principles, values and core morals. Now this party does not work in the interest of the nation but for its personal benefits...For the past few years, I could feel that I am the right man in the wrong party. So, today, we announce that I am distancing myself from the AAP and getting close to public."

Detailing the formal step, Chadha told reporters, "We have decided that we, the 2/3rd members belonging to the AAP in Rajya Sabha, exercise the provisions of the Constitution of India and merge ourselves with the BJP." Chadha addressed the media alongside Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal, both of whom also declared that they had quit the Aam Aadmi Party.
