Sharing a video message, the Bhoot Bangla actor clarified that the moment at the awards show was meant to be taken in a lighter spirit and was not intended to offend.
Explaining his stance, he said, "Is par poori duniya ke liye ek general sa skit banane ka prayaas kiya. Kabhi-kabhi filmon mein bhi hota hai ki hum scene design karte hain, lekin uska meaning audience tak sahi tareeke se pahunch nahi paata. Yeh cinema hai!"
He further added that Saurabh and Zakir are like his younger brothers who have always shown him respect, even affectionately referring to them as his "jigar ke tukde."
