Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has laughed off viral chatter that a Rs 1 crore bonus landed in the bank after Dhurandhar 2 became a hit. The actor, praised for playing politician Jameel Jamali, said no such transfer has shown up and called the reports baseless.

Bedi addressed the rumours on 25 April with trademark dry humour, saying there is no sign of extra money anywhere in personal records. The actor added that, hypothetically, any large payment might or might not be discussed publicly, but stressed that nothing has arrived so far.

Mujhe bata do yaar kahan kisi ne gaad ke rakha hai. Bata do taaki main jaake le loon kyunki mere account mein toh abhi tak nahin aaya hai (There are reports that I have received Rs 1 crore from the production house after Dhurandhar's success. Please tell me where is that money? Who has it? Who has pocketed it? Please tell me who has buried it where so that I can go and get it because it's not in my account yet)." Bedi emphasised that bank statements currently show nothing beyond usual payments.
