Ramayana Teaser Release Time: D-Day is finally here! Ever since the announcement of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, fans have been eagerly awaiting to witness Ranbir Kapoor's first look as Lord Rama, and their long wait is finally coming to an end today (April 2). We're saying so because the Ramayana makers are confirmed to unveil the first glimpse of 'Rama' today, on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.

Ramayana is undoubtedly the biggest film of current times and features a star-studded cast, which further heightens the excitement of moviegoers. The much-hyped movie is reportedly based on the Ramayana by Valmiki and is planned to be released in two parts. On the occasion of Ram Navami last week, the team announced the arrival of the film's first teaser on April 2, and just a few hours remain for the same.

RAMAYANA OVERVIEW: PLOT, FULL CAST, AND OTHER DETAILS

The epic tells the journey of Rama, believed to be the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the prince of Ayodhya. It follows his exile to the forest for fourteen years, a decision made by his father, King Dasharatha, after a promise to Kaikeyi.

During this period, Rama travels through forests across the Indian subcontinent along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana. The narrative takes a dramatic turn when Sita is abducted by Ravana, the powerful ruler of Lanka. The epic then leads to Rama's battle against evil and his eventual return to Ayodhya with Sita, where he is welcomed with great joy and crowned as king.

For those unaware, Ranbir is playing Lord Rama while South actress Sai Pallavi has been roped in to play Sita. On the other hand, KGF fame Yash and Sunny Deol are confirmed to essay the pivotal characters of Ravana and Hanuman, respectively. As per the ongoing buzz, the much-talked-about teaser has been given a 'U' (universal) certificate by the CBFC and has a runtime of around two minutes and 38 seconds.

The Ramayana team is set to unveil the teaser today (April 2) at a grand launch event. As per the invites sent to the media, the first glimpse of 'Rama' event will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Hence, the teaser will be unveiled within this timeline only.

While Ramayana Part 1 is confirmed to release this year around Diwali, the confirmed release date might be unveiled with the teaser. On the other hand, the second part is likely to hit the theatres on Diwali 2027.
