Ramayana Trailer Release: Namit Malhotra's Ramayana is currently the biggest film being made in Indian cinema, and moviegoers have been eagerly awaiting its release. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is based on the epic Ramayana by Sage Valmiki and features Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Lord Rama and Sita, respectively.
After hosting a special screening of the Ramayana trailer for the media in Delhi last week, the makers were set to officially launch the trailer for fans today (July 24) at 8 AM. Everyone was super excited to finally witness the extraordinary world created by the makers. However, here comes a piece of bad news for moviegoers as the trailer release has been delayed. Yes, you read that right!
RAMAYANA TRAILER RELEASE DELAY REASON REVEALED
Taking to social media just hours before the trailer launch, Ramayana producer Namit Malhotra announced the postponement and revealed that it is being done as Sony Pictures has come on board to handle the film's global distribution outside of India, which is a huge feat for the team.
The note posted on Instagram reads, "Today is a very special moment for our "Ramayana", my dream of taking Ramayana to the world is now a reality with our partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment. In light of the above, we will be launching our trailer now globally at a later date."

RAMAYANA FULL CAST AND PART 1 RELEASE DATE DETAILS
For those unaware, KGF star Yash will be seen playing the character of Ravana, alongside Ranbir an Sai. Ravie Dubey has been cast as Lord Rama's younger brother Lakshman, while Sunny Deol is confirmed to essay Lord Hanuman's character. Besides them, the makers have roped in many big names to play important roles in the much-hyped epic saga.
Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Kajal Aggarwal, Arun Govil, Lara Datta, and Kunal Kapoor, among others complete the Ramayana cast. For those unaware, the movie is going to be released in two parts, with Part 1 confirmed to hit the theatres later this year on Diwali. On the other hand, Ramayana Part 2 will be released on Diwali 2027.
