Days After Rohit Shetty Firing Controversy, Ranveer Singh Receives Threatening WhatsApp Note Demanding Crores

Ranveer Singh has reported a serious threat sent through a WhatsApp voice note, days after shots were fired outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Mumbai home. The sender allegedly demanded several crores and referred to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, prompting fresh security concerns within the Hindi film industry.

The earlier firing case involving Rohit Shetty had already placed police on alert. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang had claimed responsibility for that attack via a social media post. An audio message later emerged, in which an alleged gangster calling himself Arju Bishnoi purportedly accepted responsibility for the firing outside Shetty’s residence.

Police said attackers fired at the first floor of a nine-storey building in Mumbai’s Juhu area at about 12.45 am. At least five shots were discharged. One bullet hit the glass front of a gym inside the building. Pune Police have detained five people, whom officers say are allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
