Ranveer's Don 3 Row: Fans Disappointed With FWICE Ban; Says 'It's Not The 1st Time An Actor Left A Film'

Ranveer Singh’s supporters are voicing anger after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees issued an industry-wide non-cooperation directive against the actor. The decision follows Singh stepping away from Farhan Akhtar’s film Don 3. Fans argue that walking out of a project is not new in Bollywood and question why Singh is being singled out.

Many social media users linked the FWICE move to the performance of Singh’s recent film Dhurandhar The Revenge. Several posts on X suggested that a section of the film industry is uneasy with the movie’s content and box office response. Some fans also alleged that an organised 'gang’ is trying to damage Singh’s image.

Ranveer Singh FWICE ban and social media backlash

Right after the FWICE press conference on Monday, posts supporting Singh started trending on X. One user wrote, "What is this…It's not the first time Actors are cutting themselves from the next projects.. What's the real problem? What do you think.. is it the success of his film Dhurandhar The Revenge?" Another asked, "Is Ranveer Singh the first actor to leave a film in Bollywood?"

Another fan comment claimed, "Some big names from Bollywood are still upset with the content and success of Dhurandhar." A different user argued that the backlash began after Dhurandhar released. "After Dhurandhar, it feels like they're out to get him. Is Ranveer really the first actor to abruptly walk out of a film?" the post read, mirroring a wider sentiment online.

Ranveer Singh FWICE ban, nepotism claims and Farhan Akhtar row

One X user suggested that Singh is facing heat because "he is not a nepo kid". Another fan wrote, "The entire Bollywood is envious of Ranveer Singh. Slap these bullies with another blockbuster and huge success." Such comments added a nepotism angle to the FWICE directive and fuelled debate about fairness in casting and industry treatment.

Another fan accused Farhan Akhtar of keeping Singh waiting while working on a different project, 120 Bahadur. The user wrote, "It takes guts to behave like a cry baby when God's hand and audience love is so clearly with @RanveerOfficial Crab mentality on such blatant display by the entire film industry. And here I thought they were professional actors. Shame on @FarOutAkhtar."
