Sadia Khateeb's Shikara, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra has completed six years since its release, marking a significant milestone for the film and for actor Sadia Khateeb, who made a memorable debut with the 2020 drama. Shikara told a deeply personal story of love, loss, and displacement, bringing to the screen a chapter of history through intimate human emotions.

In her debut role, Sadia Khateeb portrayed Shanti Dhar, a Kashmiri Pandit woman navigating romance, marriage, and the trauma of being forced to leave her homeland. Starring opposite Aadil Khan, she embodied the quiet strength and emotional resilience of a young couple whose lives are upended by political turmoil. Her restrained, natural performance was widely appreciated for its authenticity and emotional depth, earning her praise for capturing vulnerability without melodrama in a Vidhu Vinod Chopra directorial known for its sensitivity.
Since her debut, Sadia Khateeb has gone on to build a diverse filmography, with roles in The Diplomat and Raksha Bandhan. She will next be seen in Silaa opposite Harshvardhan Rane, and is also part of an upcoming untitled project featuring Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor, and Kapil Sharma.
