Bollywood stars added extra attention to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s 100-year celebration in Mumbai, as Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and several filmmakers attended the first day of the two-day centenary event on Saturday, February 7, at a large city auditorium packed with guests from different professional backgrounds.

The auditorium hosted the opening session of the RSS centenary programme, which marks the organisation’s 100th year in 2025, with personalities from cinema, business and other sectors present; Salman Khan sat next to lyricist Prasoon Joshi, while Ranbir Kapoor and directors Mohit Suri, Subhash Ghai, Nitesh Tiwari, Om Raut, Mahaveer Jain and Vikram Malhotra were also seen.

During the programme, Salman Khan appeared focused on the speeches, and away from the stage work continued on the actor’s next film, Battle Of Galwan, co-starring Chitrangda Singh, where Salman Khan plays Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu in a story drawn from recent military history.
Battle Of Galwan is based on a chapter in the 2022 book 'India's Most Fearless 3’, written by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, and the film takes inspiration from the deadly clashes between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley on June 15, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
