Sanskruti Jayana Reveals Krishnavataram Came After 3 Failed Film Contracts

Actress Sanskruti Jayana recently made her big-screen debut as Satyabhama in the mythological epic Krishnavataram. She has been drawing attention for her graceful screen presence, expressive performance, and natural charm in the film, but the road to that role was anything but smooth.

Sanskruti Jayana Reveals Krishnavataram Came After

In a recent interview, Sanskruti opened up about the struggles she faced before Krishnavataram gave her the breakthrough she was waiting for. She had gone through three failed film contracts before she signed her first film. She said the experience taught her patience, resilience, and the importance of believing in herself during difficult phases of her career.

Part of what makes her journey particularly compelling is how it circled back to director Hardik Gajjar. Sanskruti had first met him nearly three years ago for a different project, but wasn't selected at the time. However, the filmmaker had told her that he'd reach out whenever the right role came along. Years later, while writing Krishnavataram, he could only picture Sanskruti as Satyabhama and eventually approached her for the role.

Recalling the initial days, Sanskruti said, "At one point, I was worried that I might disappoint my family's dreams." When her grandmother Anandiben Patel finally watched the film, she was left speechless for five minutes.

The actress also shared that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath watched the film and appreciated the effort to bring culturally rooted stories to audiences across generations. "He motivated us and said that stories like these should reach the people. We should take Satyabhama's story to the entire world. There are many such stories that today's youth still do not know about," she added.

Directed by Hardik Gajjar, Krishnavataram is presented and produced by Creativeland Studios Entertainment's Sajan Raj Kurup and Shobha Sant, along with Poonam Shroff and Parth Gajjar of Athashrikatha Motion Pictures. Envisioned as the first chapter of a three-part cinematic franchise, the film is currently running successfully in theatres.
