Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan's Bodyguards Earn Rs 2–2.5 Crore Salary? Ex-Staff Yaseen Khan Clears Viral Rumour

An expert observer challenges social media claims of crore-level yearly salaries for Bollywood bodyguards, detailing typical monthly earnings, contractual perks, and industry practices in India.

Rumours about Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s bodyguards earning multi-crore salaries have long circulated online. Former security professional Yaseen Khan, who spent years working with Shah Rukh Khan, has now challenged these claims, saying star bodyguards do not receive the ₹2–2.5 crore yearly packages often mentioned.

Speaking about the viral figures, Yaseen dismissed the chatter around crore-level payouts, stating simply, "Aisa nahi hota." Yaseen shared that most celebrity security staff are salaried employees. They work on fixed monthly pay, with extra earnings possible only in specific situations linked to certain projects or shoots.

Bodyguards salary claims around Bollywood stars

Yaseen explained that online posts suggesting sums of ₹2–2.5 crore per year would mean around ₹10 lakh monthly. He questioned such talk, asking, "Kon deta hai Rs. 10 lakh per month?" In Yaseen’s view, those numbers do not match actual payments in the Hindi film industry’s security segment.

According to Yaseen, even security staff attached to leading actors usually earn nowhere near those viral amounts. He said that for many top Bollywood bodyguards, monthly income hovers around ₹1 lakh. The exact figure can change with experience, reputation and nature of assignments, but crore-level salaries remain rare.

Bodyguards salary structure and contract perks

Yaseen noted that some additional benefits do exist beyond the basic salary for such roles. Bodyguards may get extra money for film shoots or for particularly demanding duties. However, Yaseen stressed that these are limited arrangements, not an industry-wide pattern, and should not be confused with huge annual salary packages.

Yaseen said more organised deals for film-related security work began only after he pushed for clear contracts on assignments. Those talks reportedly encouraged other security professionals and producers to explore structured payment terms. Still, Yaseen believes figures circulating on social media exaggerate what celebrity bodyguards actually receive for their work.

Claim about bodyguards salary Amount mentioned
Viral online claim (annual) ₹2–2.5 crore
Implied viral monthly figure Around ₹10 lakh
Yaseen Khan’s typical monthly estimate Around ₹1 lakh

Bodyguards salary debate and Yaseen Khan’s journey

In a conversation with Hindi Rush, Yaseen specifically mentioned Shera, who works with Salman Khan, and Ravi Singh, linked with Shah Rukh Khan. Yaseen said he does not accept that even these high-profile guards draw ₹2–2.5 crore yearly, despite the strong public interest in their supposed earnings.

Yaseen also remarked that bodyguards often receive serious attention only during security scares. According to Yaseen, their work is essential yet undervalued, with recognition usually coming after an incident. He feels the drama around celebrity life can overshadow realistic discussions about what security professionals are actually paid.

After spending more than ten years handling security for Shah Rukh Khan, Yaseen decided to change paths within the same field. Yaseen moved away from personal bodyguard duties and focused instead on building a security business, using experience gained from managing high-pressure celebrity protection.

In 2015, Yaseen launched YK PROSEC, a private security company based in Mumbai. The firm focuses on VIP protection and event security management. Over time, YK PROSEC added several major clients, including Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, highlighting Yaseen’s shift from frontline bodyguard to security entrepreneur while the debate on bodyguards’ salary continues.
