Sonam Wangchuk Hunger Strike | Soni Razdan Urges Activist To End Fast: We Need You, Please Don't Leave Us

Sonam Wangchuk Hunger Strike: Renowned activist Sonam Wangchuk has been all over the headlines lately for his ongoing indefinite hunger strike. He has been fasting at Delhi's Jantar Mantar since June 28, 2026, days after joining Cockroach Janta Party and has been demanding the resignation of education minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged paper leak in the NEET examination on June 28. While his hunger strike has been drawing a lot of attention, his deteriorating health has left not just the common man but even the celebs mighty concerned.

Soni Razdan s Appeal To Sonam Wangchuk

For the uninitiated, as per Wangchuk's doctor, the activist has lost 8.9 kgs so far in 18 days of hunger strike while his blood pressure has fallen further to 105/76. As a result several politicians have requested Sonam Wangchuk to end his fast while the CJP has announced mass hunger strike in the activist's support. This isn't all. Many celebs have also extended support to Sonam Wangchuk including Prakash Raj, Shabana Azmi, Vir Das, Omi Vaidya, Arundhati Roy, Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Swara Bhasker etc

Soni Razdan's Request To Sonam Wangchuk

Now, joining the list is Soni Razdan who penned a note for Sonam Wangchuk urging him to end his fast. Taking to Instagram, she wrote, "Dear Sonam Wangchuk, For your health we all do pray. Please do not leave us in this way. Please live to fight another day. Please stay. Please end your fast today". She captioned the post as 'We need you. Don't leave us'.


Earlier, Zeenat Aman had requested the Indian government to have an open and peaceful talk with Sonam Wangchuk. She wrote, "We must not become a society that sits back and watches one of its greatest minds be sacrificed. India has a long history of peaceful protest; those who wield power are obliged to meet such protest with peaceful dialogue. With respect to Mr. Wangchuk's wishes, I implore the Indian government to open dialogue on this matter that concerns the future of all India".
