In an old interview, when asked which iconic mother-daughter film she would like to recreate with her real-life mother Soni Razdan, Alia had a surprising pick: The Devil Wears Prada. "I would love to see mom and me act together in a desi version of (The Devil Wears Prada)," she shares, instantly sparking curiosity about what a Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs dynamic could look like in a Bollywood setting.

Interestingly, the duo has already shared screen space in Raazi , where Soni Razdan played Alia's on-screen mother in the espionage drama.

Given their real-life rapport and proven chemistry, the idea of Soni Razdan stepping into Miranda's commanding heels, with Alia as the ambitious Andy, feels less like a fantasy-and more like a casting coup waiting to happen.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is directed by David Frankel and written by Aline Brosh McKenna. The film stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, along with Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B. J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as Lily and Irv from the original film.
