Soniya Bansal Announces ‘The Last Breath’, A Cannes-Bound Film Rooted In A Real-Life Environmental Story
Bigg Boss fame Soniya Bansal is all set to take a significant leap in her creative journey with her upcoming short film The Last Breath, a project that is not only close to her heart but also carries a strong social message.

Speaking about the origin of the film, Soniya shared, "I have done the writing for the film and this film has been specially created with Cannes in mind. It's a story very close to reality and reflects something that has actually happened." The film revolves around the growing issues caused by deforestation and highlights the emotional and environmental consequences of cutting down trees.
Elaborating further on the concept, she added, "It's based on a real-life story of a woman who stood strong and did not want the trees to be cut. The narrative shows her fight and the problems that arose because of deforestation." Through this story, Soniya aims to shed light on environmental concerns while also portraying the strength of an individual voice.
Confirming her involvement beyond writing, Soniya revealed, "Yes, it is a short film, and I will also be acting in it. I am playing one of the lead roles along with Shiv Thakare." The collaboration has already generated excitement among fans.
Talking about the shoot schedule, she said, "The shooting will begin on 13th April." The team is focused on capturing the raw essence of the story.
The film is being helmed by Subhash Kale, and Soniya expressed confidence in the vision of the project. "It's a film made with a purpose, and we are hopeful it will resonate with audiences globally."
