“There Is No One Greater Than A Mother”: Geetanjali Sinha Gets Emotional Speaking About Her New Song
Sanjay Mishra-starrer Karmaa Meets Kismet director and singer Geetanjali Sinha has spoken about the experience behind her recently released song Teri Ungli Thaam Kar on the eve of Mother's Day, a heartfelt tribute to mothers and their unconditional love. Geetanjali revealed that the emotions behind the song stem from a childhood memory that stayed with her forever.

Opening up about the thought behind Teri Ungli Thaam Kar, the filmmaker said, "This Mother's Day, I fold my hands in gratitude to every mother. A mother's love never seeks recognition, yet it defines us. It is quiet, constant, and divine - a glimpse of God itself in human form."
Recalling her early years in Patna, where she lived close to a crematorium near the Ganges, Sinha shared, "One day, while my father had stopped the car nearby for some work, I saw a young man standing beside his mother's mortal remains. His relatives had stepped away for the rituals, and he sat there quietly, carrying a kind of grief that did not need words."
Speaking about the heartbreaking moment further, Sinha said the atmosphere suddenly changed when a convoy of cars with flashing red lights entered the premises for the funeral of an influential person. "Policemen quickly began clearing the entrance and asked everyone to move aside - including that young man, who was gently pushed away from where his mother lay," she shared.
Speaking about the emotional impact the incident left on her, Sinha said the moment completely changed her understanding of love, value, and human emotions. "That image etched itself into my soul. It made me question what truly matters in the end and strengthened my belief that there is nothing and no one greater than a mother," she shared.
Veteran actress Farida Jalal said, "You have made an excellent song. A lovely composition and beautiful singing."
