Varun Dhawan’s Main Tera Hero Re-Releases In Theatres: Ektaa Kapoor Shares A Throwback Video Ft. Bike Ride

Varun Dhawan is grabbing headlines for all the right reasons. On one hand, he is gearing up for the big-ticket release of his upcoming rom-com Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, and on the other hand, he's basking in the love pouring in for the theatrical re-release of his classic, Main Tera Hero, as a part of the David Dhawan Film Festival.

Adding to the joy is filmmaker-producer Ektaa Kapoor, who took to her social media handle to share a throwback video with Varun. The actor took Ektaa Kapoor on a bike ride in Mumbai on March 31, 2014, as a part of the film's promotional strategy. The video also featured a fun interaction between Varun & Ektaa alongwith the media, wherein the filmmaker shared a classic dialogue, "Yeh dikhta hai sweet and innocent swami type ka, par hai bahot bade har**mi type ka," with the second half of the dialogue being completed by Varun himself.

What added to the nostalgia was Ektaa Kapoor's heartwarming note for Varun Dhawan. "Those were the days, 12 years ago, when me and Varun went out to promote #mainterahero on a bike! The movie rerelease has gone viral nd shows have increased due to houseful shows. I like this song @daviddhawan205 is a genius! Lots of love to seenu," she wrote.

The theatrical re-run of Main Tera Hero has now introduced the film's playful energy to another round of audience, with social media turning some of the screenings into full-blown viral moments. Infact, a "humbled" Varun took to his social media handle to share a few viral clips, stating that his Instagram algorithm is filled with viral moments from the theatres.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan starrer Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai brings him together with Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur and Maniesh Paul among others. Directed by David Dhawan, the film releases in theatres on June 5.
