Vikramm Bhambri On Shooting With Ranveer Singh For Dhurandhar: He Inspired Me A Lot Throughout The Shoot

Actor Vikramm Bhambri, who plays the character of Shakeel Commando, in Aditya Dhar's blockbuster Dhurandhar shares his experience of working in the film. "Like any new comer goes through the audition process, I too was auditioned in May 2024. I got onboarded on this project later in Oct 2024. I am playing Shakeel Commando, one of the henchman of Rehman Dakait group. Typical tall aesthetic and a rugged 'modern nomad' character mostly silent but his actions speak louder than his words. In part 1 Donga, Siyahi, Baba Ladla died so the rest of the gang members who are still alive will be seen in part 2."

On being asked about his experience of working with Ranveer Singh, he says,"On my first day of the shoot, I was standing with Ranveer Singh (addressed as RS on the set). It was an overwhelming yet anxious situation for me with lots of ifs and buts and hows ... basically all sorts of questions. But the very next moment he called me VIKRAMM SIR...and I was totally blown away with his gesture and that moment onwards for me he was 'Ranveer bhai'. Throughout the shoot, Ranveer bhai has been inspiring me a lot, he has been like best buddies especially with all the gang members, also because the script demanded that bond. Ranveer bhai is very meticulous not only in his craft but also how to build the camaraderie with people around him. Full of energy, a happy jolly human being motivating and cheering others. He is a true gentleman and very humble human. And that is a biggest lesson I'll always remember throughout my career."

Dhurandhar is Vikramm's debut Hindi film and for him every moment on the set was memorable. He adds,"For me every moment on the set is kinda recorded in my mind. This being my first step into the Bollywood industry and standing next to biggest stalwarts of Bollywood, it's been quite an overwhelming experience for me.

However, there is one funny incident about me.

We were supposed to fly to Leh for the shoot. Danish (Uzair), Rajat (Mukka), Naveen (Donga) and I are very close knit buddies. So we had discussed to take Diamox tablet a day prior to flying to make our body and respiratory system acclimatized to the high altitude of mountains. We used to get on calls and discuss about it that I would still be able to manage without Diamox cuz I'm regular gym goer and cardio system would be better than Rajat's. Basically, I was more worried about how Rajat would be able to manage there cuz he is prone to motion sickness and quite scared thinking about high altitudes. Anyway , we land in Leh (without consuming Diamox), and the very 2nd day of Leh my SpO2 was below 80 and I was put on O2 cylinders on the other hand Rajat was fit and fine recording me."
