After stepping away from the spotlight, Pooja Dadwal, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in Veergati, was leading a quiet life in Goa, where she helped her husband run a casino business. However, her life took a sudden and heartbreaking turn soon after.

In 2018, she was diagnosed with severe tuberculosis, a critical condition that drastically affected not just her health but also her financial and personal stability. Things worsened when she was reportedly abandoned by her husband and in-laws, leaving her alone in Mumbai with no steady support, limited resources, and no proper shelter during her illness.

At her lowest point, Dadwal shared a video appeal seeking help. The clip caught the attention of actor Ravi Kishan and Salman Khan, both of whom stepped forward to support her. Salman Khan took charge of her treatment, reportedly covering her medical expenses for several months and ensuring she received proper care.

Recalling that difficult phase in an interview with Instant Bollywood, Dadwal emotionally said, "Aaj yeh second life jo mili hai, it's only because of him." She revealed that while she was hospitalised, Salman Khan personally stepped in to provide financial assistance, a gesture she credits with saving her life.

Who Is Pooja Dadwal?

Once a familiar face on screen, Pooja Dadwal now leads a simple, low-key life far removed from the film industry. According to recent social media posts, she currently runs a small tiffin service while living in a chawl.

Dadwal began her acting journey at just 17, making her debut in the 1995 film Veergati alongside Salman Khan. Although the movie did not perform well commercially, her presence caught attention and opened doors for further opportunities. However, consistent roles didn't follow, prompting her to shift to television.

She went on to appear in shows like Aashiqui (1999) and Gharana (2001), before eventually stepping away from the entertainment world altogether. Choosing a different path, she got married and relocated to Goa, marking the beginning of a life away from the glamour and spotlight.
